Exfactor simply blew the doors off his six rivals in the $100,000 Bashford Manor Stakes (gr. III) for two-year-olds at Churchill Downs, drawing away for a daylight victory in the six furlong event.
Under Calvin Borel, the colt settled off of a very fast early pace set by Friscan, who ran the opening quarter in :21.59. 4-5 favorite Sum of the Parts was tracking the pace in second.
Turning into the homestretch Sum of the Parts confronted Friscan for the lead, but both were easily passed by Exfactor, who turned in a simply explosive stretch run. He was on the lead in seconds and powered home to win in 1:10.30. It was the third win of the day for Calvin Borel.
Power World rallied well for second, while Friscan turned back Sum of the Parts for third.
