Three-year-old German filly Danedream disposed of her rivals in the stretch and drew off in stunning fashion to win the group I Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp by four or five lengths.
Ridden by A. Starke, Danedream was never too far off of the pace set by Treasure Beach and made a bold run in the homestretch to blow the race wide open. She was never threatened in the late stages while winning with absolute dominance.
St. Nicholas Abbey led into the stretch and looked briefly capable of holding on to win, but tired late. Another three-year-old filly Shareta held second, while Snow Fairy finished third to complete an all-filly trifecta. So You Think, last early on, made a good run to finish fourth, beaten only a length for second. St. Nicholas Abbey finished fifth. Danedream completed the race in 2:24.49.
