Jan. 24th a Busy Day for 3yo Stakes Races

There are going to be plenty of interesting stakes races for three-year-olds this Saturday! Here's a list of all the races on schedule, along with a few notes on the expected starters:
Allen's Landing Stakes at Sam Houston Race Park -- The promising Larry Jones-trained maiden winner Exodus will make his stakes debut in this seven-furlong event, which has also attracted the speedy Fair Grounds allowance winner Waging War.
California Cup Derby at Santa Anita Park -- The unbeaten and unchallenged King Glorious Stakes winner Acceptance will attempt to follow in California Chrome's footsteps as a winner of this 8.5-furlong stakes for California-breds.
Frank Whiteley Jr. Stakes at Laurel Park -- The entries have not yet been drawn, but Jerome Stakes (gr. III) runner-up Nasa and Maryland Juvenile Futurity Stakes winner Ghost Bay are among the 29 nominees.
Holy Bull Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park -- The well-regarded Derby contenders Frosted and Upstart make their seasonal debuts against Bluegrass Singer, winner of the Mucho Macho Man Stakes.
Hutcheson Stakes (gr. III) at Gulfstream Park -- Impressive Spectacular Bid Stakes winner Barbados is the expected favorite in this seven-furlong dash. Bluegrass Singer has been cross-entered here, but is currently expected to start in the Holy Bull.
Kitten's Joy Stakes at Gulfstream Park -- This one-mile turf race has drawn a deep field of twelve, including Bill Mott's promising Gulfstream allowance winner Dubai Sky.
Rego Park Stakes at Aqueduct -- This six-furlong stakes for New York-breds has drawn a field of six, led by Notebook Stakes winner Regal Minister and New York Stallion Series Stakes winner Chasing Bubbles.
Riley Allison Futurity at Sunland Park -- Four-time stakes winner Cinco Charlie will attempt to stretch his speed beyond 6 1/2 furlongs for the first time in this one-mile event, which has also drawn Zia Park allowance winner Dirt Monster.
