A Three-Year-Old to Watch: Integrity

Integrity stamped himself as a colt to watch in the future when he won a six-furlong maiden special weight at Gulfstream Park on January 10th by 3 1/2 impressive lengths.

Ridden to victory by Javier Castellano, Integrity got off to an excellent start from gate seven and quickly took  command of the lead, setting fractions of :22.80 and :45.89 while being tracked by Tapulous, Jagger M, and Unlikely Scenario.

Coming off the turn, Castellano asked Integrity for run, and the colt responded with strong fifth eighth in :12.15 seconds. Jagger M put in a good rally on the outside to challenge briefly, but Integrity had plenty left in the final furlong, drawing off in good fashion to win decisively. The final time was 1:10.50 seconds.

Jagger M edged Ruffalex for second by 1 3/4 lengths, while Tapulous, Hippster, Conversationalist, Unlikely Scenario, Chasing the Roses, and Siva completed the order of finish.

Integrity is a son of Hard Spun out of the Unbridled's Song mare Generosity. He is trained by Chad Brown and owned by Robert V. LaPenta.
