The unbeaten Shanghai Bobby breezed five furlongs this morning at Palm Meadows Training Center as he continues to prepare for his seasonal debut in the $400,000 Holy Bull Stakes (gr. III) on January 26th.
Trained by Todd Pletcher, Shanghai Bobby traversed the distance in the excellent time of 1:00.04 seconds, the second-fastest work of the morning at that distance.
Also breezing five furlongs this morning was Palace Malice, one of Shanghai Bobby's stablemates. Unraced since breaking his maiden at Saratoga, the son of Curlin recorded the same time as Shanghai Bobby.
Another prominent name of the work tab was Normandy Invasion, runner-up in the Remsen Stakes (gr. II) last November. Trained by Chad Brown, he clocked four furlongs in a bullet :48.01 seconds.
