Capo Bastone breezes three furlongs

Capo Bastone, third in both the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) and FrontRunner Stakes (gr. I) last fall, returned to the work tab for the first time since the Breeders' Cup when he breezed three furlongs at Palm Meadows Training Center this morning.

Trained by John Sadler throughout his career, but now in the care of Todd Pletcher, Capo Bastone clocked the distance in an easy :39.22 seconds, one of the slowest of the morning at that distance.

Owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, the son of Street Boss is being pointed toward a start in the $150,000 Hutcheson Stakes on February 2nd at Gulfstream Park.
