Tap It Rich returns in Santa Anita allowance race

Tap It Rich, the promising debut winner that finished fifth and eleventh in last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) and CashCall Futurity (gr. I), respectively, returns to the races on February 13th in a one-mile allowance race at Santa Anita Park.

Trained by Bob Baffert, the son of Tapit has drawn post five in a field of six, and will be ridden by Mike Smith. He will be wearing blinkers for the first time.

Other prominent entrants include Bayern, who won his debut sprinting seven furlongs for Baffert last month; Brother Soldier, sixth in the CashCall Futurity and most recently runner-up in a one-mile allowance race on the Santa Anita turf; and Flagman, third in that same allowance race.
