Bizzy Caroline drew away impressively in the homestretch to defeat a classy field in the $125,000 Regret Stakes (gr. III) this afternoon at Churchill Downs.
Under M. Cruz, the filly was sent off at 4-1. She sat off of the early pace set by Bouquet Booth and Excited before drawing alongside on the far turn. She then pulled away to a commanding lead, which she maintained to the wire. Excited came home a close second over Bouquet Booth and Kathmanblu. The final time for the nine furlong turf event was 1:49.73.
