The Marathon is the first race of the $750,000 guaranteed all-Breeders' Cup Pick 6.
This is one of my favorite Breeders' Cup races, strictly because it is fourteen furlongs in distance. There are very few races of this length in the United States and it is a pleasant change from the typical shorter races that comprise most cards here in America.
