I'd like to see Mine that Bird at 50-1 odds again because I'll be putting money his way. You never know about the little gelding, he just may wake up and decide to run again. I don't like the short distance, but who knows? If the only thing holding him back lies between his ears, he could shock the world again. I've loved him since his derby win and I'm going to root for him. Never say never.

ReplyDeleteI agree. If he is physically fine and his only problem is mental, you never know when he might turn in a spectacular effort.
He was running this same way prior to the 2009 Kentucky Derby, and he returns to the Churchill Downs main track for the first time since then. I'll be rooting for him too.
