PLUCK WINS THE BREEDERS' CUP JUVENILE TURF!

Pluck, sent off at 6-1, put in an incredible rally on the far outside to score in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

Ridden by Garrett Gomez, Pluck raced at the back of the pack and simply blew past the leaders to score by over a length.

The early pace was set by Madman Diaries and Humble and Hungry, who set a reasonable pace up front. Madman Diaries held on to the top of the stretch but was passed by Banned, who led into early stretch but tired late.

Soldat looked like a winner very late in the race, rallying along the rail to take the lead, but was unable to hold off the winner.

Willcox Inn finished third, while Madman Diaries hung on well to finish fourth. Banned flattened out and finished fifth.

On the first turn, Rough Sailing's hind end slipped out from under him and fell. Fortunately, both horse and rider appeared to be okay.
