BREEDERS' CUP UPDATE SATURDAY #4

2:27;

Chamberlain Bridge won the biggest race of his career on racing's biggest stage when he rallied furiously on the far outside to pull off a mild upset in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint.

Central City, at 9-1, ran second. Favored Silver Timber ran fifth.

The next race on the card is the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, where Uncle Mo has opened as the mild 2-1 favorite over 5-2 Boys at Tosconova. Jaycito is currently 5-1.

Zenyatta's run in the classic is now just three hours away!

2:46;

Good news! Atta Boy Roy suffered no injuries during the running of the Sprint and appears to be fine.

Jockey Calvin Borel thought that he took a couple of bad steps and seemed to be stiff in his shoulder. However, veterinarians could find no problems.

As for the upcoming Juvenile, Uncle Mo has dropped to 3-2, while Boys at Tosconova has risen to 7-2. This race has been eagerly anticipated by many, and can you just imagine the cheers from those in attendance if Mo and Boys hooked up turning for home? That would be a race to see!

2:51;

It's two minutes to post time now! I am surprised that Murjan is 30-1; I thought for sure he would have been lower than that.

As this is a two-turn dirt race, I will be paying attention to what part of the track the winner runs on, and where he comes from in the pack. There seems to be a bit of an outside/speed bias over the last two days, and I will be curious to see if it continues.

Post time now! I'll be back with the results shortly!
