Chamberlain Bridge overcame gate one, traffic, and a foot abscess the week before the Breeders' Cup to win the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint by over a length in stunning fashion.
Patiently ridden by Jamie Theriot, Chamberlain Bridge got off to a good start but settled well back in the pack. Central City set the early pace, with favored Silver Timber not far behind.
Turning for home, Central City maintained his advantage and looked home free, but Chamberlain Bridge came flying on the grandstand side to score the biggest victory of his long career.
Central City stayed on strongly for second, with Unzip Me rallying for third. Bridgetown ran fourth, just inching out Silver Timber for that spot.
The final time was :56 2/5.
