Goldikova pulled off one of the most spectacular feats in the history of the Breeders' Cup when she rallied fast and furious in the middle of the track to snatch her third consecutive victory in the $2,000,000 Breeders' Cup Mile.
Despite being floated wide on the first turn, Goldikova made a move to reach contention as the field turned for home and blew past Sidney's Candy under very little urging to become the first horse to win three Breeders' Cup races.
Ridden by Olivier Peslier, Goldikova brought her racing record to 21-15-3-2.
It was a truly remarkable performance, one that will never be forgotten.
Gio Ponti rallied strongly for second, followed by The Usual Q. T. and Paco Boy.
The final time was 1:35 flat.
