Wicked Deed pulled off a mild upset in the Tiffany Lass Stakes this afternoon at Fair Grounds, battling with all of her three rivals down the stretch before drawing away to win by daylight.
The early pace was set by Lost My Halo, who held a narrow advantage over Wicked Deed and Unbridled Praise. Flash Mash was right behind them, the four runners seperated by less than two lengths.
As the field turned for home, the four fillies were spread across the track with less than a half-length seperating them. It was anyone's race at the top of the stretch, but Wicked Deed quickly asserted command and drew off under strong urging from jockey Anna Napravnik to win by about five or six lengths.
The final time was 1:11.75. Flash Mash finished second, a nose in front of Unbridled Praise. Lost My Halo finished fourth.
