It is currently eighteen minutes to post time for the Timely Writer Stakes at Gulfstream Park, where Uncle Mo will make his 2011 debut.
As I'm sure just about all of you know, Uncle Mo was the Champion 2yo Male of 2010. During his championship campaign he went undefeated in three starts, which included dominating victories in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) and Champagne Stakes (gr. I). This will be his first start since early November. He is trained by Todd Pletcher and will be ridden by John Velazquez.
Four rivals will face him. Madman Diaries, who might have been sent off as the second choice, has scratched.
Uncle Mo is currently favored at 1-20. Rattlesnake Bridge is 30-1. Rocking Out is 60-1, Gallant Dreams is 90-1, and Schoolyard Cat is 99-1.
As of right now, nearly $250,000 has been bet to win on Uncle Mo, while less than $7,000 has been placed on Rattlesnake Bridge.
