Here are the entries and post positions for the $1,000,000 Arkansas Derby (gr. I), to be run on Saturday at Oaklawn Park. The prestigious nine-furlong prep race for the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) has been won by a number of good horses in recent years, including Smarty Jones, Afleet Alex, Lawyer Ron, and Curlin. This year's edition of the race has drawn a large field of eleven, led by Rebel Stakes (gr. II) winner Secret Circle and San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) runner-up Bodemeister.
