A Three-Year-Old to Watch: Arm Force

Arm Force stamped himself as a three-year-old to watch with a convincing victory in a seven-furlong maiden special weight this afternoon at Gulfstream Park.

Owned by Casner Racing and trained by Eoin Hart, Arm Force got off to a quick start and settled into second place early on, just behind pace-setting Spin Out. Unbridled Fire was right behind them in third, followed by Doyouseemecoming, Frankie and Joe, Bulldog Legend, Dramatist, Jack B Nimble, Prince of Spain, Elusive Success, and Night Site.

Through fractions of :22.46 and :45.13, Spin Out and Arm Force continued to show the way. Around the turn, they began to draw clear of their rivals, and they entered the homestretch at least four or five lengths in front of the remainder of the field. A brief stretch duel ensued, after which Arm Force pulled away from Spin Out to win in decisive fashion. The final time was a good 1:23.17.

Spin Out finished second, while Doyouseemecoming and Elusive Success completed the superfecta. Arm Force was ridden to victory by Julien Leparoux.
