Todd Pletcher and Javier Castellano teamed up to win the $300,000 Dixie Stakes (gr. II) with Hudson Steele, who burst clear of the field at the top of the stretch to win the race by about 2 1/2 lengths over a late-running Humble and Hungry. Forte Dei Marmi wound up third, followed by Casino Host.
The next race on the card is the highlight of the day, the $1,000,000 Preakness Stakes (gr. I). Kentucky Derby runner-up Bodemeister continues to be the favorite at 5-2, with Derby winner I'll Have Another at 3-1. The complete odds are as follows:
