Mark Valeski, runner-up in the Louisiana Derby (gr. II) and Risen Star Stakes (gr. II) this spring, has been withdraw from consideration for the Kentucky Derby (gr. I). The decision will allow Optimizer, who had been sitting in the 21st position on the graded earnings list, to run in the Derby.
