AGAVE KISS WINS THE MISS PREAKNESS STAKES!

Agave Kiss went straight to the lead and never looked back in the $100,000 Miss Preakness Stakes this afternoon at Pimlico race course, drawing away in the stretch to extend her unbeaten record to a perfect 6-for-6.
Ridden to victory by Ramon Dominguez, Agave Kiss bounded out of the starting gate and quickly opened up a two-length lead in the six-furlong sprint while running the opening quarter mile in :23.06. Ageless was content to settle into the second position, followed closely by Say a Novena and Painted Woman. Millionreaonswhy, the second choice in the field of seven, was on the outside in fifth while Defy Gravity and Colonial Empress trailed the field.

Rounding the turn, Agave Kiss began to open up, and entered the homestretch with a commanding advantage. Millionreasonswhy attempted to rally on the far outside, but never threatened the eventual winner, who coasted home easily to win by five while stopping the clock in 1:10.40.

Ageless held on well to finish third, while Say a Novena completed the superfecta.
